Mercury Retrograde is swimming through Pisces from February 26- March 20, 2026 with the shadow period stretching into the first week of April. It’s flowing through dream realms, feelings, intuition. Also, the subtle cues that show us that things need to be felt first, confirmed later. Of course, we can expect convos to circle back, plans may need to be rearranged + clarity will come through aha moments while taking a shower. Oh, and keep your devices away from the water! ARIES

Change + transitional periods will come less as a surprise, the more in tune you are with your intuition + spiritual gifts. Don’t just hear what you want to hear— read between the lines + don’t ignore the spiritual fine print. It’s inked in your dreams, hunches, déjà vu + claircognizance. If things feel a little foggy, take a spiritual bath for clarity, refresh your altars with offerings for your spirits + book a reading, if you feel called. This retrograde is removing certain people or situations out of your life that are not conducive of your goals or personal evolution. It will only feel like a loss if you haven’t recognized the support or value it failed to contribute to your life.

A regulated nervous system = a grounded heart space + major breakthroughs. This retrograde season pulls you into grounding practices that hold your hand through leveling up emotionally. This means you’re no longer hardened by old triggers, and maybe through vulnerability + reflection have gained understanding ( or appreciation) for some of the shit you’ve learned or endured. Mirror work is helping you muster up the courage to begin a new journey. This journey is even more exciting because you’re starting with a clean slate. I also see an opportunity (or risk you were once scared to take) from the past circling the block— something that is not only financially, but emotionally fruitful.

GEMINI

You’re undergoing a spiritual initiation that is challenging your spiritual discernment. You’re treading lightly when it comes to community( friends, peers, family, neighbors, co-workers) because your antennas are up. There’s some form of deception that you’re picking up on, be it an actual lie, embellishment of a story, lack of authenticity or friendships being cultivated under false pretense. You may want to postpone certain engagements or link ups until you get a feel for the person or even the status of said relationship. This retrograde season feels like a return to self. There’s an eye-opening moment that reminds you that at the end of the day, you have to take care of you before you take care of anyone else. You’ll find yourself reflecting on previous transitional times where you let yourself go or pushed your needs to the backburner.. but it’s a new era, honey. Self-care + self prioritization is essential to you, especially if you’re a parent. This may not be something you saw the women of your life embracing growing up, but that is no longer an excuse for self-neglect. So, tend to your garden as you undergo with rebirth. Embrace new beginnings by facing your fears, getting those vices in check + shifting your vibration by restoring your lust for life.

VIRGO

Just as I was about to pull cards for your message, I received the tiniest hair splinter. It was noticeable enough to feel but insignificant enough to cause any discomfort or harm. This feels reflective of a situation that you’ll experience during mercury retrograde— something thats unexpected ( especially because it’s unplanned), but not major enough to shift your attitude or energy. In fact, you already have the solution to handle the situation at hand so it barely requires a conversation once the initial shock-value hits. There’s a certain finesse in being able to come up with a solution with ease— don’t take that lightly. This is also the perfect time to make adjustments to foods you intake ( literally + spiritually). This change isn’t accompanied by self-pressure or force. It’s a very seamless, natural adjustment or lifestyle change. Your taste ( + cravings) are changing— you don’t yearn the same people, places, things. This is a sign of growth.

LIBRA

Are you ready to receive your lifeline? There’s a situation you’ve been struggling with + perhaps there’s been some insecurity because a few eyes may have seen you struggling too. Or, there’s been a deep-rooted fear of being perceived while it feels like you’re in the trenches, emotionally overwhelmed. This could be due to a recent breakup or grievance. Either way, help is on the way! There is a blessing that comes at the most divine timing, or maybe even an opportunity to get your lick back. But not in a petty kind of way, an obvious upgrade kind of way. Further proof that you can’t hold a hot honey down for long! I know that’s right.

SCORPIO

Discipline is the name of the game. This retrograde season has you working on building up your inner dialogue so it’s conducive to creating harmony within + mastering your mind so you aren’t falling into self-sabotage thoughts or behavior. This can look like hyper-focusing on physical appearance while neglecting your emotional, spiritual or mental needs, not honoring the commitments you make to yourself ( or others) or talking about what you’re going to do instead of just doing it. Self concept work will be your go-to spiritual tool along the way, providing the confidence + drive needed to take action in what you’ve been avoiding.

SAGITTARIUS

Contrary to what you’d expect, mercury retrograde season is about to have you walking with a little pep in your step. Your motivation, drive + creativity can be accredited to your spirit guides + higher self. You now have some extra fuel + much needed energy to complete tasks + responsibilities that have been lingering in the shadows. Intentionality + discernment is key though. Before you jump right in, it’s important that you take inspired action. Take a moment to consider what needs your immediate attention or what would serve you best at this time. A miracle is also en route, in the form of a new job opportunity, but Spirit warns you to keep it very lowkey.. don’t put your business out on the streets. You may even want to hold out from sharing with family members until the bags secured. There are definitely people in your orbit that are clout-chasers + want to be in proximity to you because what they feel you could offer them, or it’s simply a good look to be appear to be close to you.

CAPRICORN

You are being supercharged with an extraterrestrial amount of confidence + fire. There’s quite literally nothing that will or can hold you back. That’s the attitude you need to carry with you all of 2026! It’s natural for you to build slowly + intentionally, but it’s giving do it now + ask questions later. It feels like your motivation is driven by feeling like an outsider. Maybe people have been gatekeeping opportunities or trying their best to keep you contained in a specific position, but you are exceeding beyond any limitations that have been projected onto you. Spirit is shining a light on energy vampires, so they want you to keep whats incubating lowkey ( I see pregnancy around you to.. do with that information what you will). Even if it is literal pregnancy, it will not hold you back from conquering your goals so don’t even it look at it like that. This may not be a time where locking in on your normal routines serve you. Do what you feel like doing, when you feel like doing it.

AQUARIUS

Connecting to and channeling solar energy is key during this retrograde season. This looks like making sure you’re getting enough vitamin D, subathing any chance you get, wearing gold jewelry, warm tones + eating sun-ruled foods like turmeric, mango, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, chamomile + citrus. Leaning into solar plexus activations will ensure you aren’t indulging in a mean case of self sabotage. Spirit doesn’t want you to psyche yourself out of your position or potential bag by straying away from the light. This includes amping up your social media presence. You are supposed to be shining right now. There will also be commitments you are being called to make on behalf of or with your family.

The last time Neptune was in Aries (1861–1875), we saw:

• Civil + spiritual wars

• Identity upheaval on a national scale

• The birth of new dreams around autonomy, expression + what it meant to be “free”

And as always, those shifts showed up in the body first: in how we dressed + adorned ourselves.

How we used style to say: I exist. I own myself. I’m building something new.

Now, Neptune has returned to Aries for the first time in over 160 years—and we’re once again being asked to define who we are, how we show up + what we’re wearing as we re-enter ourselves.

This isn’t just about fashion. It’s about how we express who we are, how we carry our beliefs and how we show up in the world—visibly + energetically. It’s about reclaiming presence + and remembering that how we dress often tells the truth of what we believe about ourselves. Let’s not forget that Aries, rules the 1st house of physical appearance + identity + 2026 is a numerological year 1 ruled by self-initiation.

What Was Happening Then: 1861–1875

After the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, Black people weren’t just declared free—we had to become free in practice.

And that process was deeply spiritual.

We didn’t have much. But what we had, we made sacred.

✶ We pulled up in Sunday best, even if it was passed down or hand-sewn. Clothing was care.

✶ Beauty was ritual. Hairstyles, scents, and garments were layered with protection and presence.

✶ Style was strategy. Especially under violent systems of surveillance, respectability, and vagrancy laws.

Vagrancy laws criminalized the way we moved through space—and clothing became one of the first ways we pushed back.

Too dressed up? Suspicious.

Too casual? Arrestable.

Too expressive? Dangerous.

2025–2039 Mirror: Neo-Emancipation + the New Face of Freedom

We are in the middle of a collective identity rupture.

Neptune in Aries (2025–2039) is the psychic reboot after years of disillusionment, spiritual burnout in addition to internalized programming. This cosmic energy pushes us to reclaim the self after generations of distortion.

Neo-Emancipation is:

✶ the breaking of invisible contracts that tell us how we’re supposed to look, move, speak, and survive

✶ the spiritual return to inner authority

✶ the audacity to build soft, sovereign, fully expressed lives without apology or permission

✶ the moment we stop asking: am I allowed to be free? and start living as if it’s already law

One thing that comes to mind is vagrancy laws— laws that directly targeted the poor, immigrants, Black folk, those unhoused + unemployed. It basically made it a crime to be unemployed and you damn sure better not look it. Style of dress became of code of protection + a signal of labor, so people were forced to wear uniforms, aprons— anything that signaled their position of employment, otherwise it would deemed suspicious.

Last year, I spoke about the return to Business Chic as a result of the collective returning back to the office.. and this energy is going to be on steroids! Style is once again going to be weaponized as proof of productivity.

Politically, the U.S Department of Education dropped particular fields from the “professional” category, as a means of limiting borrowing. Although, not all professions fall under this category, there is going to be an overload in hyper intellectualism + dressing as our profession— as both an act of pride + status marker.

We’re pivoting from presenting as those that luxuriate for people that live “soft” lives,to more astute, buttoned up, work-ready. Matching activewear sets just won’t cut it. Everyone wants their professional + intellectual status to be recognized whilst appearing as productive. There’s going to be this push + pull of professionalism to reminder of identity outside of it.

We want to be recognized for our professional roles, whilst also maintaining a sense of self outside of these roles.

With the moon in Libra + a Capricorn-heavy sky, I can’t help but think about the synergy between glamour + professionalism.

It’s like the cosmos are quite literally whispering + lowkey demanding) that you channel your inner Elle Woods.

So as this Libra moon sits pretty in Sagittarius degree, I’m thinking about beauty as strategy + philosophy. Right now, how you’re being perceived directly impacts how far your work can travel. Use glamour as a tool to support your work + professional goals.

✶ choose what + where you exaggerate- a bold lip, sickening heel, playful blush. let one feature be the thesis + build around that statement piece.

✶ create a signature palette— colors that feel like home to your body. these could be tied to your ancestors, mood, spirituality, mythology or identity.

✶ wear the contradictions— feminine + authoritative. professional, but playful.

✶ adorn with intention, not excess- right now, one impeccable element carries more weight than many competing ones. choose the detail that anchors your presence. Even if you’re a maximalist girly who loves dripping in jewels ( like me) you might find yourself carefully curating each piece.
